When I attempt to play an m3u8 stream on my iPad it will crash. If I disable the vtb decoder in kodi it will play the m3u8 stream but it studders bad. On Jarvis the m3u8 streams play perfect. Used then a beta release without JNI (link earlier in this thread); all worked fine again. When (unfortunately) Kodi got updated automatically to v18.7.2; black screen again. Certainly JNI cause black screen on Shields 2015. The file mentioned by djspiros (kodi-20200609-dbf8e077-Leia-arm64-v8a.apk) can't be installed, without uninstalling Kodi first, but then you loose all your settings.
